Learner Reviews

In their own words

A selection of recent feedback from learners across all three programmes.

PS

Pimchanok Sombat

Bangkok · Level 1

"I had tried to learn Python twice before from free resources and gave up both times. The difference here was the pace. Nothing felt rushed. When I got stuck on the functions section — which took me most of a weekend — I posted in the forum and had a clear explanation within a few hours. By week six I had actually built something that did a real thing."

Wanchai Charoenpong

Chiang Mai · Level 2

"The machine learning course is genuinely hands-on. Week three threw me — evaluating models properly is harder than building them, and I needed to revisit that material a few times. But the code review on my portfolio project was detailed and honest, which was more useful than a tick-box pass. The written notes saved me a lot of time."

Nattaporn Panya

Bangkok · Level 3

"Most courses I had seen ended when the model was trained. This one spends serious time on what comes after — pipelines, monitoring, making it actually run somewhere. The capstone project took longer than I expected but I finished it and it works. The mentor feedback during those final weeks kept me from going in the wrong direction."

Kritsana Lertsiri

Khon Kaen · Level 1

"The setup guide worked first time, which already put this ahead of other things I had tried. I am in my forties, not from a technical background, and I managed to follow everything. The written notes were important — I am a slow reader but I retained more from reading than from watching. I am now enrolled in Level 2."

Sunisa Wongkham

Phuket · Level 2

"I appreciated that they told me upfront Level 2 requires actual Python knowledge — I had done Level 1 here and it fitted well. The group support sessions were useful; hearing other people's questions made me realise I was not the only one confused about cross-validation. I knocked one star off because I wanted slightly more material on neural networks, but the core content is solid."

Anan Tirakul

Bangkok · Level 3

"I came in as a working developer and was worried Level 3 might be too introductory. It was not. The data pipeline section alone was worth the course fee — I have started applying those patterns at work. The peer review sessions were well-run and the other participants at that level were technically solid, which made the discussions genuinely useful."

Learner Journeys

A closer look at three learning paths

Learner story — Ratchanee, accounting professional, Bangkok

Challenge

Ratchanee wanted to understand what her company's data team was doing with Python scripts. She had no programming background and had been put off by technical jargon in everything she had tried.

Course taken

Python & AI First Steps — 8 weeks. She worked through the course over ten weeks, taking her time on chapters three and four. She asked several questions in the forum and said the responses made sense without assuming she already knew the answer.

Outcome

By the end she was writing small Python scripts to tidy up spreadsheet data. She describes it as "no longer feeling like an outsider in the room" when technical topics come up. She has since started Level 2.

"The thing that surprised me most was that nobody made me feel silly for asking basic questions. That mattered a lot."

Learner story — Thanakorn, software developer, Nonthaburi

Challenge

Thanakorn already worked as a developer but wanted to move into ML work. He had read documentation and watched video tutorials but never built a full pipeline from data to prediction to evaluation.

Courses taken

He joined at Level 2 (Hands-On ML) after the team confirmed his Python background was suitable. Completed in 12 weeks with three project builds. Later enrolled in Level 3.

Outcome

After Level 3, Thanakorn had a deployed classification model as a capstone project in his portfolio. He reports that the deployment section filled a gap in everything else he had studied.

"The code reviews on Level 2 were the best learning I got — they told me not just what was wrong but why the alternative approach was preferable."

Learner story — Sirada, recent graduate, Chonburi

Challenge

Sirada had studied statistics at university and was comfortable with the theory of machine learning but had never worked with real data in code. She needed practical experience to build on her academic background.

Course taken

Hands-On Machine Learning — Level 2. Her statistical background meant the concepts were familiar, but the implementation took more effort. She found the portfolio project the most challenging part but completed it in week 11.

Outcome

Sirada now has a portfolio project demonstrating end-to-end ML work. She describes the gap between textbook statistics and working code as now feeling "much smaller than it was."

"I knew the theory. This course made me actually do the work, which is a completely different thing."
